Frequently Asked Questions
Here you’ll find answers to your questions.
Your subscription unlocks the presenter dashboard, game display screens, and project management tools so you can host live game shows online. Choose a plan (5-day pass, monthly, or annual), create projects, add questions and teams, then run the show from the controller while your audience watches the display screen. Your access stays active for the full paid period.
Yes. You can cancel your plan at any time. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period (monthly or annual). After that, your subscription ends and your hosting access expires. This is ideal for DJs, event hosts, and companies who want flexible access without long-term commitments.
No hidden fees. Your plan price covers hosting features needed to run the game: projects, questions, teams, the presenter controller, and the audience display. If you later add optional upgrades (for example, additional packs or extra features), those will always be shown clearly before purchase.
Familio Games is a live game show platform inspired by popular formats like Familiada-style and Family Feud-style rounds, plus fast timer games like the 5-Second Rule. You host from the presenter dashboard (accepting answers, awarding points, revealing results), while players and the audience watch the display screen on a TV, projector, or shared screen.
Yes. You can host online game nights where players join from anywhere. Typically you run two screens: one for the presenter dashboard (host controls) and one for the audience display (what everyone watches). For in-person events, the display is perfect on a TV or projector for the crowd.
For the best experience, yes: one device for the presenter controller and one device for the audience display. Many hosts use a laptop for the controller and a TV/projector (or second laptop) for the display. This keeps the show smooth and professional, especially for weddings, corporate events, and DJ gigs.
Yes. Each project lets you add custom rounds, questions, answers, and points. You can fully personalize the show for birthdays, weddings, schools, and team-building events. If you prefer speed, you can also use ready-to-use question packs (when available) to set up a full game in minutes.
Yes. Projects are designed for reuse. Create a template once and run it again for your next event, school lesson, or corporate session. This is especially useful for recurring hosts like DJs and venues who want a consistent “game show” offer without rebuilding everything every time.
Most game formats are optimized for two teams (classic Familiada-style / Family Feud-style competition), but you can name teams and manage scores flexibly per project. For fast party formats like 5-Second Rule, the focus is on quick turns, points, and a smooth timer experience.
Yes. The audience display is built for large screens. Connect a laptop to a TV via HDMI, use a projector, or run a browser on a smart TV device. This setup is ideal for events and venues where you want clear visuals, scores, strikes, and big reveal moments.
For v1, the host account runs the show and manages the project. Players typically participate through the live display and the host’s interaction. Guest joining features (QR/join code) can be added later for larger interactive sessions, but v1 is optimized for smooth hosted gameplay.

The presenter dashboard is your command center: manage rounds, show questions, accept/deny answers, award points, trigger sound effects, and keep the pacing of a live game show. It’s designed to replace spreadsheets, slides, and manual scorekeeping with a clean hosting workflow.
Familio Games runs in modern web browsers. For the best performance on the presenter controller and the display screen, use Chrome, Edge, or Firefox on desktop/laptop. A stable internet connection improves real-time syncing between the controller and display.
Yes. You can create projects with your own text in any language. The public site supports English and Polish navigation, and we plan to expand language support for ready-to-use packs and localized content over time. This makes it easy to host for international audiences.
We use standard best practices for account access and hosting workflows. Keep your login secure, use a strong unique password, and avoid sharing host credentials. If you ever need help (password resets, billing questions, or support), contact us through the support page inside the app.
If your subscription expires, hosting features are disabled until you renew. You’ll still be able to log in and view your account, but actions like running a live game show or managing projects may be restricted. Renewing restores full access so you can host again immediately.
Yes. Upgrading is the recommended path once you start hosting regularly. Many users begin with the 5-day pass to test a full event, then move to monthly or annual plans for ongoing access. This keeps your hosting workflow consistent and your saved projects ready for the next show.
Absolutely. Family Feud-style rounds and timed party games are proven team-building formats. Use custom questions about the company, departments, or fun culture topics. The presenter dashboard helps you keep the pace fast, while the display creates a “show” atmosphere that energizes groups.
If you need help with setup, billing, or hosting a live quiz night, use the Support section inside your account. You can send a message and we’ll respond with guidance. This is the fastest way to resolve issues and keep your event running smoothly.
